I couldn't resist the temptation to incorporate it into the condo.

Another trunk-turned-nest

Originally used for storage, we wanted
to give the chickens another option for nesting.

This time, I borrowed a Sawzall from the neighbor.

And I added a screen window.

From trunk to nest

A major theme of this project has been recycling.

The chickens like to sleep in there as well.

The second story

I didn't always have access to a Sawzall so
I had to made due with a still and hand saw.

At first, they didn't quite get it.

Then I added the ramp.

A little coaxing with some strategically
placed birdseed helped.

I think they like it.
